Privacy policy.

Last updated 2026

FinanceOneDesk is built so that there is almost nothing to protect, because we hold almost nothing about you. This policy explains, in plain terms, what happens to your data when you use the Site, the limited third parties involved, and the choices you have. It applies to financeonedesk.com and forms part of our Terms of Use.

The short version.

Your calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to us. We have no accounts and no user database. The only data kept is functional settings in your own browser's local storage. Money for Pro is handled by our payment provider, not us — we never see your card. The Site shows Google ads, which may use cookies; you can accept or decline where the law requires, and Pro removes all ads. We do not sell your data, because we do not collect it.

Who is responsible for this Site

FinanceOneDesk is an independently operated website. Because we collect no personal data through the calculators and operate no user accounts, there is no user database in our hands. For any privacy question, or to reach the person responsible for the Site, email financeonedesk@outlook.com — that is the contact point for all privacy matters. For anything relating to a Pro payment, the relevant data controller is our payment provider (see below), who holds those records.

The calculators — no data leaves your device

Every calculator and guide runs entirely inside your browser. The figures you type — age, income, savings, debts, spending and so on — are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to us or stored on any server we run. We have no database of users, no analytics profile of you, and no technical means to see what you enter. When you close the tab, that calculation is gone unless your own browser has saved it (below).

Settings saved on your device

To make the tools convenient, your most recent inputs, your currency choice, and your Pro unlock status are stored in your browser's local storage. This lives on your device, under your control, and is not transmitted to us. Clearing your browsing data (or using a private window) removes it. It is used only to restore your last session and remember your preferences.

If you buy Pro

Payments are handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant/seller of record. When you buy, your payment details go to them, not to us — we never see or store your card number. They may make limited order information (such as your email address and billing country) available to us for tax, licensing and support purposes; their processing of your data is governed by their own privacy policy. Your Pro entitlement is then stored as a simple flag in your own browser, and validated through a licence key you enter.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This Site is funded in part by ads served through Google AdSense. To show ads, Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies, and may process data such as your IP address, device and browser information, approximate location, and your interactions with ads, in order to serve and measure advertising. This processing is carried out by Google as an independent third party under its own advertising policies. We never share your calculator inputs with advertisers, and we do not sell personal data.

If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent message (a Google-certified consent tool) before personalised advertising cookies are used, and you can accept or decline. Your legal basis for advertising cookies is your consent, which you can change or withdraw at any time — through the consent message or via Google Ad Settings. Pro removes all ads on every tool.

Cookies and local storage

We do not set our own tracking cookies. The only data we keep on your device is functional local storage (your inputs, currency choice and Pro status), described above, which is necessary for the tools to work as you expect. Any advertising cookies are set by Google AdSense and its partners, subject to the consent choice you make and to Google's policies. You can manage or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time; blocking functional storage may stop the tools from remembering your inputs.

Hosting and security logs

The Site is served by a third-party hosting/content-delivery provider. As with essentially all websites, their servers may automatically process standard technical information (such as your IP address, browser type and the time of a request) in short-lived logs to deliver pages, ensure security and prevent abuse. This is done on the basis of legitimate interest in operating a secure service; we do not use these logs to build a profile of you or to identify you personally.

International transfers

The third parties we rely on (our payment provider, hosting/CDN and advertising partners) are global services and may process data in countries outside your own, including outside the EEA/UK. Those transfers are handled by each provider under their own safeguards and legal mechanisms; please refer to their policies for details.

Children

The Site is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through any third party connected to the Site, contact us and we will help direct the request appropriately.

Your rights and choices

Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is generally nothing in our hands to access, export, correct or delete on request. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or similar — including rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing. To exercise choices in practice: for advertising, use the consent message or Google Ad Settings; for data related to a purchase, contact our payment provider, who holds those records; for settings on your device, use your browser controls; and for anything else, email us and we will help as far as we are able. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Do Not Track

Because we do not track you across sites, there is nothing for us to change in response to a browser "Do Not Track" signal. Advertising behaviour is governed by your consent choice and Google's policies, described above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time by posting a revised version here with a new "last updated" date. Material changes take effect when posted; your continued use of the Site means you accept the updated policy.
